Glass fiber insulated wire is a type of conductor insulated with natural silk and glass fiber. Unlike conductors using cotton yarn as insulation, it possesses many superior properties, making it a popular choice for many companies. Specifically, glass fiber insulated wire has the following characteristics:
- Glass fiber insulated wire is made by uniformly wrapping one to two layers of alkali-free glass fiber around a copper (or aluminum) conductor, then impregnating and baking it with an insulating varnish that meets temperature resistance and compatibility requirements. This process ensures that the glass fibers bond together as well as between the fibers and the conductor, forming a cohesive whole.
- This product is available in three temperature resistance ratings: 180, 155, and 130°C. Insulation thicknesses are typically available in four grades: 20, 30, 40, and 50 mm. Bare copper (aluminum) conductors sold through extrusion are ideal materials for glass fiber insulated copper (aluminum) wire.
- Glass fiber insulated wire is currently widely used in the windings of electromagnets, transformers, welding machines, and other similar electrical equipment, demonstrating its wide range of applications.
